Access to Care Society of Alberta is a community-driven nonprofit that helps low-income individuals, families, seniors, women, and people with special needs from ethnocultural and mainstream communities access the knowledge, services, and supports they need to thrive. Our work focuses on three pillars: health education, poverty reduction through skills and job pathways, and dignified supports for seniors living in both rural and urban Alberta.
To remove barriers to care by providing accessible education, practical supports, and connections to services that improve health, reduce poverty, and enhance quality of life across Alberta.
Healthy, supported, and connected communities where every person can navigate care with confidence and age with dignity.

Free online and in-person programs that build everyday skills for wellbeing, including mental health, substance use and addiction awareness, chronic disease prevention and management, healthy aging, fall prevention, stress and anxiety management, navigating the healthcare system, and better sleep habits.

Training that opens doors to employment, with learning focused on leadership, communication, job readiness, sector-specific job training, and job placement opportunities in health, counselling, and related supportive services.

Services that reduce loneliness and isolation, and practical assistance that helps seniors live safely and independently. Programs include personal care, light housekeeping, nutritious meals, nursing support, shopping help, and transportation to medical appointments. Available to seniors in rural and urban communities.

We collaborate with community agencies, healthcare providers, seniors organizations, and employers to coordinate services and placements. If you are an agency or clinic, you can refer clients and co-host workshops with us.
